Bury is known to be a club that produces several exciting talents and this time around their academy pair of Jacob Bedeau and Callum Styles have caught the fancy of Premier League giants Liverpool as well as Manchester United. The bitter rivals are engrossed in a fight off the pitch with both vying for the pair’s signature in January to boost their respective academies.

Jacob Bedeau is 17 years old and has been watched by several scouts across Europe for his skills as a central defender. The player was previously affiliated with league side Leyton Orient before making the move to Bury, initially on a trial before signing for the club.

Callum Styles is 16 years old and made history when he became the first player born in the new millennium to make his bow in Football League. Styles plays as an advanced attacking midfielder for his youth side and has said that he bases his style of play on Brazilian legend Ronaldinho who he has admired as a kid. Styles states that his aim for the season is to be offered a professional contract, something that may get soon with the Premier League sides who are after him.

Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp and Manchester United under Jose Mourinho are both going for the title this time around, however, building their respective youth base is as important as ever in the Premier League due to the competition. Although Mourinho does not seem to be very inclined with developing youth players, a lot of talented youngsters have still come to the fore through his management.

On the other hand, Jurgen Klopp has been a fierce advocate of youth football and has been credited with bringing through some very big stars during his management tenures in the Bundesliga as well as the Premier League.

Clinching the signings of the talented pair will go a long way in boosting their respective reserves, however  Klopp with his record of grooming young talent seems to hold the edge here at least on paper.
